Welcome to my first attempt at blogging. Yes, I know West Ham fans abound in the US but I wanted a place to start congregating. And it’s not just for US based fans. One of the things I love about our club is the sense of family most of us have around the globe. It’s not just the big business image of clubs like Man U and Arsenal where kids in other countries buy their shirts because they are the only teams they’ve ever heard of. When you run into another Hammer in the US or Australia or anywhere else you know these are genuine fans of the club with a bond to Upton Park and our history.
I’ll try to be diligent and post my thoughts on the big questions of the day. I have been inspired by Iain Dale’s excellent blog and would like to generate the same kind of quality football discussion. Let’s enjoy discussing our club for better or for worse and keep it to something we wouldn’t mind our kids reading. In fact I’ll be letting my oldest boy comment on here. Just like a youth team we must nurture our young fans so they can become the heartbeat of West Ham in the future. The Academy of Football is for fans too!!
